This quarter, the TTLT continued to turn insight into action by publishing a new report on STEM and talent attraction, concluding the ESG webinar series with a white paper on CSRD compliance, and launching the 2025 DEI survey.
The committee continues to be a hub for peer learning, cross-sector collaboration, and developing an inclusive, future-ready workforce in the petrochemical industry.
Leadership - Best Practices and Common Pitfalls in ESG
EPCA’s Impactful Leadership webinar series came to a close on 12 March 2025, bringing together experts to discuss how petrochemical companies can demonstrate leadership through ESG reporting, strategic leadership and sustainable business models.
EPCA has published a new white paper in collaboration with d-fine to support chemical companies in navigating the EU’s Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD). Drawing on the entire webinar series, the paper provides a phased, pragmatic implementation roadmap. This publication is more than a compliance guide. It shows how ESG can be used as a tool for innovation, resilience, and trust among stakeholders. It also provides actionable recommendations tailored to the sector’s unique challenges.

STEM and Talent Attraction: Shaping our Future
How can we attract and inspire the next generation of petrochemical professionals? EPCA’s new STEM report provides new answers and practical insights from 28 member companies.
The research highlights three standout trends:
- Early outreach through school and university partnerships
- Talent strategies that value potential over experience
- A growing focus on mentorship and purpose to engage mission-driven talent
The report also emphasizes the importance of authentic communication and cross-industry collaboration in positioning the petrochemical sector as a force for innovation and social value.

EPCA’s 2025 DEI Survey: Tracking Progress
In partnership with Women in Logistics, TTLT has launched the 2025 DEI survey, which is a follow-up to the 2022 study. The earlier study revealed an increase in female representation on boards, but identified persistent gaps at the Executive Committee level.
Thank you to all participants! We are now analyzing the findings, and the full report will be published later this year.
